Ballad of the Shrouded Horseman
Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
In the corner of your eye
Approaching slowly through the rain,
You cannot see the shrouded horseman
Plodding onward to the crossroads.
He never raises up his head
And you have never seen his face
Or the eyes which flash the fear of death
And the terror of disgrace.
Tonight the horseman in the shadows
Is riding for revenge.
Cloaked in black he rides across the moor,
And you, my friend, will follow to the end.
You have gone, my dear, away from me.
I see you at the crossroads on the hill.
There is no more shrouded horseman
And the eyes I used to love are now quite still.
You see, my love, it had to be.
You took my life away from me,
And now I laugh to see you
On the gibbet on the hill.
But I must spur my horse tonight
Across the moors we knew so well,
And we shall meet again, my sweet,
Beyond the doors of Hell.
