All my life,  recurrent themes, thoughts and images have reappeared in the things I make, sometimes decades apart and frequently in different mediums. Like a sort of life long cross-genre conversation with myself. It is as if words, images, films, sculptures, any single medium on its own, cannot express all that is in my head.

My poem Metamorphosis (1982) was an inspiration for my film Mothfight (1985). The poem I.con (1984) was the starting point for my animated film I.con (1995). A short story 'Flying' which I wrote in 1991 inspired my sculpture Feather (2014) The sculpture was the inspiration for my poem Feathers (2022).
