All my life,  recurrent themes, thoughts and images have reappeared in the things I make, sometimes decades apart and frequently in different mediums. Like a sort of life long cross-genre conversation with myself. It is as if words, images, films, sculptures, any single medium on its own, cannot express all that I want to say.

My poem Metamorphosis (1982) was an inspiration for my film Mothfight (1985). The poem I.con (1984) was the starting point for my animated film I.con (1995). A short story 'Flying' which I wrote in 1991 inspired my sculpture Feather (2014) The sculpture was the inspiration for my poem Feathers (2022).
